Q1: Is this transmitter compatible with all Bently Nevada probes?
A1: No. It is specifically designed for use with 3300 NSv probes. Other probe types may not function correctly.

Q2: Can this transmitter operate in high humidity environments?
A2: Yes. It features sealed construction suitable for up to 100% condensing humidity (non-submerged conditions).

Q3: Can I connect the PROX OUT signal directly to an oscilloscope?
A3: Not directly. The signal is non-isolated; use the 122115-01 test adapter to ensure safe and accurate measurement.

Q4: How does the system respond when a fault occurs?
A4: In case of a probe failure or loose connection, the transmitter drops its output below 3.6 mA within 100 μs.

Q5: Is it possible to adjust the measurement range?
A5: Yes. The transmitter includes accessible zero and span adjustments for fine-tuning.

Q6: What is the maximum loop cable length supported?
A6: With 35 VDC power, loop resistance must not exceed 1000 Ω. The actual cable length depends on wire specifications.

Q7: Is this device certified for hazardous areas?
A7: Yes. The 990 is certified for use in Zone 0/1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas under ATEX and CSA standards.

Q8: What happens when the device powers on after shutdown?
A8: Upon power-up, the transmitter holds output <3.6 mA for 2–3 seconds to indicate readiness status.
