A1: Yes, the 3300 XL 8 mm system is both electrically and physically compatible with non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm systems.

Q2: Can this product operate in high-temperature environments?
A2: The standard probe supports up to +177°C. For higher temperatures, an Extended Temperature Range (ETR) probe and cable are available.

Q3: What is the recommended gap setting?
A3: The recommended gap voltage is -9 Vdc, corresponding to a physical gap of approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils).

Q4: What are the typical applications for this probe?
A4: It is typically used for vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, and for Keyphasor and speed monitoring.

Q5: What components are included in a 1-meter system?
A5: A 1-meter system includes the probe and Proximitor sensor only; it does not use an extension cable.

Q6: Is field calibration required?
A6: No. The system components are fully interchangeable and do not require individual calibration.

Q7: Can the probe be used for overspeed protection applications?
A7: Yes.

Q8: How is the pressure sealing of the probe achieved?
A8: The probe uses a Viton® O-ring to seal the pressure between the probe tip and case
